Chairman and Managing Member of Morowitz & Company, LLC as well as its sister firm, Morowitz Gaming Advisors, LLC.

For the past 28 years, Mr. Morowitz has been providing strategic business, tax and accounting services and advice to his clients. His areas of concentration include gaming and hospitality firms, family businesses, and professional service firms.

Education

Mr. Morowitz is a graduate of the Warton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1996. He received his Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta in 1981, where he graduated with high honors.

Career Highlights

Mr. Morowitz is also the publisher and editor of the Morowitz Quarterly, an award winning strategy and finance newsletter focused on the gaming industry. Previously, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Capital Gaming International, a public company, during its transition through chapter eleven bankruptcy proceedings. During his tenure he was part of a three-person team that successfully re-negotiated the company's debt from $130 million to $22 million while maintaining the company's existing Indian gaming management contracts, preserving over $100 million of gross gaming revenues and the eventual successful emergence from chapter eleven bankruptcy.

During 2007 Mr. Morowitz was appointed the industry director of the Wharton Program for Gaming Executives, an executive education program presented by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  In this capacity, he teamed with Wharton's faculty to design and implement a gaming-oriented program that focused on leading edge management tools applied to the gaming industry.

Mr. Morowitz is the author of four courses on financial, accounting and service management for gaming and hospitality enterprises and has trained hundreds of managers throughout the United States and Canada.

He has also authored the course "Family Business Value Management", a comprehensive, ten session course geared to family business owners that touches on every aspect of the family business life-cycle and growing family wealth.

Mr. Morowitz has lectured extensively on gaming and hospitality at the Wharton School, UNLV, and at various industry forums.  He has also lectured on family business at the Rutgers Family Business Forum. His articles have been published in several gaming industry publications in addition to the Morowitz Quarterly.

He has held every leadership position in the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants' Atlantic-Cape May Chapter including President.

Community Involvement

Mr. Morowitz is actively engaged in his community and presently sits on the Galloway Township Economic Development Committee and on the Board of Directors of the Richard Stockton College Foundation.  Previously he held board positions at his Synagogue, and with Jewish Older Adult Services of Atlantic County. He has also served as a youth sports coach, and is a former member of Rotary International.
